Privacy Policy for Golf Reels

Golf Reels is built to run entirely on your phone. There is no account, no sign-up, and no cloud storage of your rounds or videos.

What the app stores on your device

• Your rounds (course, scores, shots) as local files.
• Your recorded or imported shot clips, and the videos you export — saved to your device’s Photos library.

None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party. It never leaves your device unless you choose to share an exported video yourself.

What we do collect

To keep the app working and to fix bugs, Golf Reels sends a small amount of data to two service providers:

• Crash and performance data (via Sentry) — technical diagnostics such as stack traces and device/OS information, used only to find and fix bugs.
• Product analytics (via Firebase Analytics) — anonymous usage events such as which screens are viewed and when a round, shot, or export is started/finished. No account, name, or contact information is attached to these events.
• Coarse location — used only, while the app is open, to list golf courses near you. It is not stored or transmitted anywhere except to the course-lookup request itself.

We do not use advertising identifiers, do not show ads, and do not require App Tracking Transparency permission, because we don’t track you across apps or websites.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The service providers above (Sentry, Firebase/Google) process the limited technical data described here on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms.

Your choices

You can deny location access at any time in iOS Settings — course search just won’t return nearby results. Deleting the app removes all locally stored rounds and videos.
